iTunes App Store hits 1 million approved apps

I find these kind of article very amusing...one million apps, how many of these apps are useful?
Same story with the android market...the amount of useless apps are greater than useful.
I barely have about 15 apps on my phone, how many apps does an avg person actually install on their phone?
 
I do not mind the numbers, its just the dam duplicates that irritates me.

I mean how many twitter aps do you really need, and lets not get to the games. Example: Temple run makes a killing then 10 000 copycats follow with no one getting the formula right.
