iTunes restores backup each time I connect! Pffffft!

Hi guys,

Can't seem to find a solution for this anywhere, any ideas? :erm:

Windows 7 64
iTunes 9.2 64
iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.01 jailbroken with www.jailbreakme.com

I backed up my iPhone running iOS 3.1 then installed the latest iTunes restored with the latest firmware... The jailbroke.

Now everytime I connect it restores the backup and I have to re-sync all my apps and music... Each time! Very annoying.

Any ideas.

One persons fix:

To fix this, just setup the iPhone up as a "New Device" (after restoring from backup), and give it whatever name you want. This didn't delete anything on my phone that was put on by the "restore from backup". Only thing is that some of you sync settings may change.

My idea:
locate the backup file on your PC and delete it.

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER_NAME\Application Data\Apple Computer\SyncServices\Local

The file "data.syncdb" appears to be the one.
