Who can we contact to make a fire under iTunes SA's store?

I am happy with my non-jailbroken iPhone, but wish I could download some games...there are tons on the American iTunes store, but NONE in the SA branch.

Perhaps someone knows why?

(PS I did try to jailbreak the phone to get games that way, but ended up having to do a restore when Cydia went postal!)

Should have consulted us and we would have sorted you out..

Anyways, if you're still interested we can get you up and running jailbroken..

Head on over to my thread in my sig and ask away

From what I hear it's a thing between Apple and the Film and Publications board

That's not surprising. Our current laws mean that Apple would have to submit each and every game released on the App Store (close to 1000 at last count) for a full review by the FPB, at a cost of R1 347 for each and every game. That's R1.3million just for the games on the App Store right now and it doesn't include the costs of games added in future or the costs associated with actually filing the detailed application for each game.

And when you consider the small size of our local market I doubt it's financially worthwhile for Apple to go through that kind of expense for the relatively paltry income it will get from South African consumers. It's little wonder they seem to have decided to just exclude games from the SA App Store.

Thanks guys

It's a pity to think that something like solitaire or tetris has to be reviewed by the FPB...I mean really!
