I'm still using the older version of iTunes (12.6.220), because it allows me to manage Apps and books on my devices, whereas the newer version is streamlined and doesn't allow that. I like to manage the Apps on the Ipad (16 GB) which allows me to install and uninstall without having to download every time - sometimes I just want to use an App for a while so I take off music and put on something like Pages or iMovie to play with.
I've been staving off the IOs 11 upgrade (sooner or later I'll have to do it because off App support) due to negative reviews and what I've seen about its battery life impact as well as lag on older devices. Hoping that 11.2 has some of this thrashed out - still running both devices on 10.3.3.
I'm currently using an iPhone 6 32 GB and an IPad mini2 16 GB - both of which won't really benefit from all the iOs 11 features.
Does anybody know if the older version of itunes will work with IOs 11 - I'm considering downloading the IPSW file for 11.2 and installing on the iPhone, but I'm not sure if it will work with Apps etc?
