Wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions, I have the latest itunes on win7 and it stopped working by that I mean it won't open. I've done a FULL uninstall of itunes, Quick time and removed anything that has apple in the reg and still after a reinstall.... nothing... tired a few different things from the net, which didn't help..??

Anyone else had a similar problem?

You need to do a full uninstall of all Apple program's in a certain order, reboot, then install again. Sorry I can't remember exact details.

Had this issue ages ago. Apple techie talked me through it. Exact procedure is probably on google somewhere. Try keywords "ITunes fails to start uninstall all Apple products", or something like that.

Tried updating apps of the US store tonight - getting the message that iTunes is temporarily unavailable... Anyone else?

Tried the following:

1. Quit the following programs, if they are running:

§ iTunes

§ QuickTime Player

§ Apple Software Update

2. From the Start menu, choose Control Panel.

3. In Control Panel, open "Add or Remove Programs."

4. Select iTunes from the list of currently installed programs, then click Remove.

5. When asked if you would like to remove iTunes, select Yes.

6. After the uninstallation is complete, do not restart your computer if you are prompted to.

7. If other program entries were listed for iTunes in Add or Remove Programs, remove those as well by repeating steps 4-6.

8. Remove any iPod Updater applications that are listed the same way you removed iTunes.

9. Remove all instances of QuickTime the same way you removed iTunes.

10. Remove all instances of Apple Software Update the same way you removed iTunes.

11. Remove all instances of Apple Mobile Device Support the same way you removed iTunes.

12. Remove all instances of Bonjour the same way you removed iTunes.

13. Remove all instances of Apple Application Support the same way you removed iTunes.

14. Restart your computer.

Still no joy..!! can't run iTunes...

did you try downloading the apps again. It may be that the setup files themselves are corrupt.

When I had this problem I had lots of grief. I think it happened when I upgraded to Itunes 10 at the time.

I was on the verge of giving up when suddenly itunes worked, but then the installation was in Spanish. I then had an apple tech on the line, but they couldnt solve the language problem. So I just used a web translator so that I could click the right buttons and it installed as was working. In English. havent had a problem since.
