I am fed up with this telkom s**t. I have applied to get adsl now, exactly a year ago, every day i am on the phone with them and i still have gotten no where, every single person i talk to tell me different things, i mean WTF, i want to know what is going on!?!?!?! This telkom kaak is seriously getting old now.... And this "next genereation network" when is it going to be done and ready!?! serously.....
 
Give us somemore details... where are you located? Are you in a gated complex? Are you in the platteland? Are you in a newly developed area? etc, etc.
 
Edenvale, i have an existing telkom line, gated area, not newly developed, and i applied trough my fathers business (shouldnt this make the process quicker?), existing telkom and MWEB accounts (tried with both and no luck)
 
obviously not to install a line, but to install adsl ( i think i saw some ADSl thing sold in a box at telkom, with subscriptions)
 
Next time when you see a Telkom techie working next to the road stop and ask him about your nearest exchange and if it can run adsl rather than dealing with call center agents.
 
Post your ADSL order (or reference) number here and you'd be surprised that someone might help!

If you don't have one, then phone and order your ADSL and demand the ref number. Do not accept any excuses, they must give you one. Also ask for the call centre agent's full name. Keep a record of who, what, when, why, etc.
 
Hey,

in my experience you need to channel your inner satan; it's the only way...and don't speak to a call center pleb, always always as for a manager, and be ruthless... get names and get them to commit to call you with updates. BE PISSED OFF...and sound it! A year is ridiculous!!!
