Jabulani Ndhlovu is the director of human resources at Microsoft South Africa, a position he has held since August 2008.

Jabulani is responsible for the operational and strategic health of the people and the organisation. He was drawn to Microsoft for its fast-paced, forward-looking and people-focused culture. And in his role, he supports the business on HR operations; management and leadership excellence; attracting and retaining the best talent; organisational culture and change, and ensures the well-being of the team – among many other things. Prior to Microsoft, Jabu’s career spanned a series of blue-chip organisations. He started his career in 1995 as a business integration and change management consultant at Andersen Consulting South Africa (now Accenture), working with both public and private sector companies. He moved into the resources field with BP in 2000, again working in change management but adding talent management strategy to his portfolio. After BP, Jabu joined conglomerate Barloworld as the HR director for its supply chain management division. Born in Pietermaritzburg, KZN, Jabu holds an Honours Degree in Organisational Psychology from the University of Natal and Advanced Management and Leadership Program from Said Business School, Oxford University, in the UK. Jabu lives happily in Johannesburg with his wife, Ursula, and their three children, Thando, Phumi and Aphiwe.
