Of course, it's too easy to tell, but the judge's findings so far are rather damning. Check the twitter feed:

# #Selebi Are those champagne corks popping at the NPA's office I'm hearing...?

# #Selebi Joffe: The state has proved beyond reasonable doubt that Selebi received at least R110 000 from Agliotti.
# #Selebi Joffe: Selebi's denial of receiving money from Agliotti is not reasonably possibly true.

# #Selebi Joffe accepts Dianne Muller's evidence, saying she was a "good" witness and that her evidence carried the "stamp of credibility".
# #Selebi Joffe accepts cheque counterfoil stating 'COP' as corroboration for Agliotti's evidence that he paid Selebi.

# #Selebi Joffe: Corruption legislation doesn't require an agreement between briber and bribee.

# #Selebi Joffe: Whether Agliotti believed he bribed Selebi or not is irrelevant. What is relevant is whether Selebi breached the law.

# #Selebi Joffe: Every day courts rely on honest, truthful police officers. Selebi's example should not be emulated.

# #Selebi Joffe: It is even more unpleasant when that person was the head of SAPS.

# #Selebi Joffe: It is never pleasant to make credibility findings against a witness. It's a stigma that remains forever.

# #Selebi Joffe: Every person relies on the honesty of policemen and women. [Selebi] has not set an example that must be emulated.

# #Selebi Joffe now going through even more Selebi lies... Smelling more and more like toast in court.

I glad at least one person has publicly been taken to task. At the very least, it will make others think twice.

Shows you put folk in positions that they are unsuited for and they will be corrupted by the system.

Yeah. You can see it when some of these people are broken down: they know the game is up and they know how stupid they've been behaving. There's no more bluster and no more arrogance.

I'd just like to see it happen a bit more often, although on a personal level I can't help feeling terribly, terribly sorry for them. I'm just a big softy...

C'mere, Jackie. Let me give you a hug and a big ol' pat on the back before they cart you off to jail for a while.

As I said before... any twit can see that the state completely failed to prove any actual wrongdoing. Taking money from someone who freely offers it to you is not a crime. They did say there was a generally "corrupt relationship".. but still no actual offence.

If Selebi is found guilty it will be because the present ANC government wants to get rid of him and his cops... not because he was actually found guilty of explicit crimes.

Selebi found guilty, just heard now on the radio.....he is a damn embarssment to our country.

Great stuff, justice prevailed, now just fot the biggest eyesore to get his fair and unbiased day in court.

but but but......the DA and MYKKK members keep telling us the Judiciary is not independant and under threat from the ANC...

Fine bring on the appeal, that is the way the law works in a decent society, as long it is legal it is okay, I think.

Remember you too, could one day wish for the chance to have an appeal.

Let's see what the ANC does about this case before we jump to conclusions, shall we?

Appeal will be filed in less than 20 seconds.

The difference, my friends, is that YOU AND I are footing the bill for this. R14 million and counting ... ;)

all part of the great pr show; sacrifice your little heads, keep the big ones.

If the inevitable pardon were granted before the appeal it would save the country some money ... :)
