I think he is allowed to be free until the appeal is heard. The appeal court then will decide on the conviction and can impose the original conviction or increase / decrease it.
I doubt he will ever see a day in jail.

I know the state said they were not giving him money anymore. And he claimed to be bankrupt. Now I'm wondering if the Russian that they caught or whom is paying for his appeal.

Why else not just prosecute the idiot? He claimed to have no money for the trial, he was still on board of some companies and had to be axed.

Appeals to the ConCourt take a long time. And why would they prosecute him a second time? He's been prosecuted already!
