Jacque Kallis as 20/20 player

I'm convinced he is good at the format (despite what would be conventional wisdom). What are your thoughts

Well so far he's been brilliant for Bangalore. Can't argue with his record. Just like Dravid in the first IPL - not so useless! Class just shines through.

Look at Kumble - he's a lethal 20/20 bowler, and Tendulkar - he's not even in the Indian T20 team!

Jacques has blossomed in the game of hit and giggle and now looks to be an exceptional player.

In this year's IPL he is currently the leading run scorer and just ahead of Sachin Tendulkar. After Sachin's form against us and his 200 n/o, it is no mean feat for Kallis to be leading at this stage of the tournament.

In that particular innings, he had a bad over against Murali just before he went out. That said, you also need to look at his innings in the context of the game. His role is to go out blazing and then anchor while they blast from the other end.

Would actually prefer someone like kemp or miller instead of gibbs but since they aren't in the squad its a choice between gibbs or jp. Reason for both spinners is the pitches in the west indies vs zim odi series was slow and took turn. If the pitch is actually quick then morne plays ahead of botha. Too bad parnie is injured.
