Lowered my interest in this car though, why 5.0 V8? 3.0 turbo with a lower price point and jag had a winner here.

I compared the top models. There is a 3.0 V6 too... Go look for your own specs. It competes with the 911, not the Boxter.

I'm still reserved on the idea of it competing with a 911, the 911 is in supercar league it competes with F430s and R8s and gallardos.
This car is not in that league no sir.

It's competitors in my opinion are caymans, boxsters(because the new one is awesome), SLK, Z4, lotus.

The bottom of the range model might compete with your supposed competitors... The top model is aimed squarely at the Carrera S Cabriolet, which is not a supercar. The 911 Turbo is a supercar and the F-Type definitely does not even try to compete with it.
