Hey guys, I found myself browsing through a range of jaguar cars, particularly the x-type... can anybody share some info about the car

Shares a platform with the Ford Mondeo, petrol models are all-wheel drive and have variable valve timing. 2.0D comes with a 5-speed manual or auto, 2.2D comes with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter auto. Facelifted for the 2008 model year, with different front and rear bumpers, indicators integrated into the wing mirror housings instead of the quarterpanels, and a more conventional gear selector in the auto models (<2008 auto models used the J-gate configuration).

Thanks bro, was honestly thinking of purchasing a neat one and throw on some 18inch rims

No problem. Speaking of 18" rims, the X-Type is one of the cars that actually comes with a full-sized matching rim as a spare, which is quite cool. To be perfectly honest, I'd keep the stock rims (or get an OEM Jaguar 18" rim to replace the ones on the car).

Im falling more and more in love with it, but how is the parts availability with that car?
