you will be caught and prosecuted even for a minor offense.

Not like in SA. you may get away for murder and rape.

Singapore is a country with stringent restrictions on the media and public information, limits on freedom of expression and assembly, and courts that help perpetuate the domination of the only ruling party the country has ever known.

The judge who passed the sentence expressed that such remarks had the potential to cause social disorder, and that every Singapore citizen must respect the other races in view of Singapore’s multi-racial society. Hence, this shows that personal freedom has to be given up, in order to create a cohesive society where Singaporeans are united as one and do not turn against one another.

Reporters Without Borders, places the country 136th in the world for press freedom – below Iraq and Zimbabwe! The rate at which Singapore executes convicted criminals is higher, per capita, than any other country in the world.

Not particularly, but DreamKing would end up in jail along with the strikers he so badly wants to see incarcerated.
If south africa went back to the amount of government control we had during apartheid, I have no doubt it would be safer here for many, but the payback is loss of personal freedom, censorship of the media, etc

In this country, if it had the same laws as Singapore, Zapiro would be in jail, anyone who calls the ANC a cANCer would be jailed, plus, no opposition parties to vote for.
