Jailbreaking PS3 for Quick Swapping

Anyone attempted / had success with this recently since the last posts? From what i understand the latest FW jailbreak lets one still play on PSN or receive further game updates. Im interested in doing this so i can image all my discs, then pack them neatly away and load them from the HDD quickly and easily.
 
i MAY (read that as have, but i'll deny it if anyone asks) had success with this but only if the OFW is equal to below 3.55. So if you've played any newish games on it the chances are you on 3.6 and higher, which until the last time I checked, (3:17PM, 31/08/2012) there is no jailbreak for. YET!

If you still on 3.55 its really, really easy but I don't think myBB will allow those links to be posted here...


**EDIT - there is also a Dongle which i believe works quite well but i've no firsthand knowledge of that.**

You're taking chances. If it works now, you can be sure Sony will lock it out soon.

Just get your games off PSN.
 
Sorry for the necro but you can play online with Rogero 4.3 in case anyone happens on this thread.
 
So i've decided to revisit this avenue since my game collection has grown a bit meanwhile and it would be even more convenient for me. After a whole afternoon and evening of reading up and watching video's on the latest available software i've come to the conclusion that loading any CFW with a backup manager itself is pretty easy, and i am lucky enough to have the 2008H which is actually jailbreakable. In the end i'm still buggered though, because it seems there is absolutely no way to downgrade from official 4.31 to 3.55 without opening up the machine and using either a E3 flasher or PigSkeet. This is pretty sad news - even if i was prepared to open up the console i don't think those flashers are easily, if at all, available in SA. Is there anyone out there that has had the same issue and possibly a solution?

I suggest to pay cextreme to do it,will cost you R590 to use the proskeet or e3 flasher.Downgrade the console to 3.55.
When my phat 3.55 ps3 died i searched for 2 months for a slim on 3.55.I found one and have never looked back.
