Coach Jake White will reach the incredible milestone of 50 tests in charge of the Springboks when they run out against the United States in their last Rugby World Cup pool match in Montpellier on Sunday night.

Achieved under difficult circumstances. Congrats are in order!

Yup, there have been ups and downs but Jake has done wonders since he took over a mess.

I've always said i take my hat off to him. He has had the most torrid time of any bok coach, and the fact that he is still there is testament to his love of the game, and the springboks.

Springbok coach Jake White will still have an important role to play in South African rugby after the World Cup tournament - if Jonathan Stones has anything to do with it.

Stones, managing director of SA Rugby (Pty) Ltd, said on Wednesday he wanted White to remain "in our system".

Even if we are fourtunate enough t win the World Cup I very much doubt that Jake, or any other white person, would be the Springbok coach going into the future.
The politicians wont stand for it,they have said as much already.
The alternative, create a position for him (director of coaches) should he want to stay and empower some other coach for the national side.
