James Bond's long-serving producers give control to Amazon

Well, they will probably milk the James Bond brand to death with all kinds of spin offs.
I can even see them doing one just about Ms Moneypenny, called 'Ms Moneypenny at high tea'... having tea and scones doing some crochet with her girlfriends, then they jump into action with a case dealing with social issues of the day, protesters, trans parades, immigrants etc.

I'll stick to the old James Bond, never watched any after Brosnan, so no loss to me.

Amazon plans 'fresh' James Bond but will respect 007 legacy

Producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman were recently hired to oversee the hugely popular spy franchise.

We still don't know who the next James Bond will be, but 007's new owners, Amazon MGM, say they are hard at work on the next film in London and that they will offer a "fresh" take on the franchise and honour the "legacy of this iconic character.

Interesting. So there is a new upcoming James Bond game, and the premise is how "James Bond" became 007. Well, he is in his youth, or so to speak. Traditionally, all Bonds have been seasoned men.

Even though the next movie hasn’t been officially announced yet, there are already rumors about what might happen. According to Deadline, Oscar-winning director Alfonso Cuarón might direct the new Bond film.

Also, Daniel Richtman, an industry insider known for breaking movie news, posted on his Patreon that Amazon plans to start filming the next Bond movie next year. He said there’s still no confirmed director or actor, but that Aaron Pierre is one of the names being talked about for the role of James Bond. Richtman added, “Not sure if they actually met him yet tho.”

Hopefully the new James Bond won't be a Jameel Bondwallah who is black/muslim/trans.
