I see on Facebook that the case against Jannie Odendaal has been dropped. I hope he sues the crap out of the SAPS.
 
Weren't both cops fired? It is possible he can't really sue them because the SAPS like most employers can fire you on a technicality that may not necessarily stand up in a criminal court.
 
Remind us what this is all about again?

Aaah, OK.. these were the two cops who pulled over Winnie Mandela and then were fired.

So the criminal case is dropped, but there is still a departmental investigation against them?

No they were suspended, still waiting for the politically motivated disciplinary.

Will have to wait and see. Haven't even seen this on any news links yet, only Jannie's fb page. He's probably so chuffed.
