i have a game on my phone that my daughter plays and i want to put the phone on her phone but here the problem starts.

ok my phone the LG KS 360 has a bigger screen and her phone is the Samsung E250. if i send the game to her phone it is unavailable (it cannot be opened).

i see you have different formats of games like jar files and jad files is this the problem as it is a java game anyway?
i also downloaded a programme to convert jar files to jad files but nada, nothing.

So do these extentions make a difference or is it easier for her just to play the game on my phone then?

thanks.

Hi,

The .jad file has information about the MIDlet, such as the version and a description of what sort of mobile code to expect in the .jar.

There is no way to convert a .jad to a .jar - maybe to make a .jad from a .jar but the .jar will always have the program code.

Some phones can be sent to the .jar directly whilst other prefer the .jad. It may be that her phone simply does not have some of the capabilities required to run the application.

thanks man, i thought it was like that thats why i tried to convert the file but enough said on that subject.

thanks for the feedback.
