Step 3: Provide details regarding the job listing in the text area that include:
Institution
Position Summary
Requirements
Qualifications
Salary & Benefits
Application Information

Mods should either change the rules, or summarily delete threads that don't adhere to it and ban repeat offenders. Allowing posters to flaunt the rules like this makes the mods look like wimps. imho.

There are no mods here, that's the problem.

How come all these JOBS that are posted come from people which have only 1 or 2 posts?
Look like everybody wants to be an employment agency.
Maybe that is why there are no salaries posted because they are on a FISHING expedition.
Plus the above job needs just about every skill available.
R 100000 per month should be the salary.
You cant post a classified ad until a certain amount of posts
Surely the same for these guys.

Hi @Whatwhat @Sodan @Fuzzbox @Hamster

Thank you for sharing your frustrations with us on the format of the Java job ad we posted.

I can assure you, 'fishing' ain't it. Bonafide job. Bonafide company.

Flouting rules isn't our thing.

We're still a bit new to posting our jobs on this forum and didn't interpret job listing steps as hard and fast rules. #ourbad.

That said, we heard you. No salary = no care. So, with that in mind, we can confirm that the guaranteed salary range for this opportunity would be R420 - R540K per annum.

With that out of the way, can we stop dodging the bullets and get some constructive input from you on posting better in the future? :)

Regards

Thank you Linda.

The rest of your job requirement seems fine, it is just that a salary band is required with the job posting. Without it there is no incentive to apply for a position, you go through the hoops only to find out they are not paying what you currently earn. It just wastes the time of the company and the candidate.

@Hamster

ooba's work environment can be described as 'relaxed'. We are, I suppose you could say, a 'corporate' but our environment is not stuffy. Open-plan-first-name-basis-no-suit-required. This is Cape Town...

Some of our guys do work flexible hours, yes. All depends on the role and what's going on project-wise. No one works exclusively from home.

ooba was awarded Leading IT Employer by http://www.iitpsa.org.za/ in 2013 and made it as a finalist again in 2014. (As rated by the people who work here.)

Get in touch if you're keen to apply.

If not, tell someone who might be?
