Our client, in the Education field, requires a Java Developer to join their team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•************ Design, development and implementation of computer software
•************ Maintenance of existing software
•************ Resource and product development
Requirements:

• National Diploma/Advanced Certificate in Computational linguistics, computer engineering, computer science or other relevant degree (NQF 8)
• Three year’s experience in computational linguistics, computer engineering and computer science or system/software development
• Three year’s programming experience in Java and at least one of the following languages, PERL,C,C++ or C#
• Two year’s experience in general programming concepts and databases
• Design, development and implementation of new computer systems
• Maintenance of existing computer systems
• Implementation of resource development
• Experience in the use of different operating systems among which Windows and Linux
• Advanced computer literacy skills
• Ability to master new software with ease
• Ability to function as part as a team, adapt to its work method and act independently
• Creative problem-solving capabilities
• Scientific writing style
• Prioritise, manage and complete a variety of tasks in line with CTexT’s goals
