Anyone own this soundbar and can comment on it?

Also - what should this do for used?

It is currently listed on Takealot for R 15,785 - so looking at around 33% to 50% depreciation - based on age & condition - is should go for between R 7,500 & R 10,000 on the used market...

Here's a YT review of it as well...

12k on the dot at Game, the Digital experience .
I've got the 9.1 which is an earlier model so can't comment on the 800. But if it's like the 9.1 you'll definitely get bang for buck

Thanks guys.

I haven’t watched the video yet - but I’ve read up a bit on it.

I just want to double check the rear speakers are battery operated detachable - but am I right in saying that each speaker can be used permanently with power via USB C?

That part yes, mine are so old that it's still micro USB. I've got the cables near there just in case, but they last about 10 hours on a charge.
Plus even with them docked the virtual surround isn't that bad. I generally keep them docked these days to lazy to unplug

I think that’s the biggest negative of this setup.

I’ve currently got an LG with rear speakers and it they have a hub that needs to be powered - that’s it. Both speakers connect to the hub.

This JBL seems a bit more if an issue within running them permanently.

Not a big issue

Well you just have the usb type C cables run into the back of the speakers, instead of the hub it's just direct. Though if you really don't use the surround that often then keeping them docked isn't a bad thing.
Also for dolby atmos if you have normal ceilings you should be fine.
