Jelly Bean for HTC One X and General Android Comments

At LOOOOOONNNGGGG last..

Vodacom decided to push the Jelly Bean OTA update to the HTC One X.

Only about 3 months after the rest of the world.

Version 4.1.1. 360 odd MB, is downloading now.

My Galaxy Nexus got Jelly Bean about 6 months ago.

Wish HTC and for that matter Vodacom will shape up.

Any comments on HTC Sense UI? :wtf:

I've been using HTC since the "Hero".

Time to drop Sense UI..? Yes Please!

Since I started getting the Nexus Branded phones as well (from Ice Cream Sandwich and further) I must say that I prefer the "Vanilla" Andoid WAY over anything Samsung and HTC can come up with.

Already rooted my HOX and was just about to load a custom ROM before I saw the little (and very welcome) down-arrow inside a circle that indicates a system update is available.

Will compare it to Jelly Bean on Galaxy Nexus and see if the "sluggishness" of the HOX has disappeared.

Any comments?

Got mine today to, but I'm on the MTN network.

The SA providers are so slow and behind the times. They should be up-to-date with the latest phone tech, and not leaving it as a lesser priority. Useless bunch.
