Jerusalem terror attack 6 wounded

Mom!!! Grandpa's having flashbacks of the War again.

:D always makes me smile MYBB,

I read that gaza war thread and heard the news at the time, and didnt believe the amount of hate that israelis/jews have to live with,
and its not just in south africa, overseas as well, its constant hate spewing all the time, must be hard living like that. their stress levels must be high.

no wonder the Israelis I work with are a nervous/jumpy bunch all the time......

even if you suprise them when there not aware of you, its like their constantly on edge.

Nelson Mandela said “A freedom fighter learns the hard way that it is the oppressor who defines the nature of the struggle, and the oppressed is often left no recourse but to use methods that mirror those of the oppressor. At a certain point, one can only fight fire with fire.”

He also said “I and some colleagues came to the conclusion that as violence in this country was inevitable, it would be wrong and unrealistic for African leaders to continue preaching peace and non-violence at a time when the government met our peaceful demands with force. It was only when all else had failed, when all channels of peaceful protest had been barred to us, that the decision was made to embark on violent forms of political struggle.” -- Statement at the opening of his defense in the Rivonia treason trial, April 20, 1964.

One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.

Perspective is a horrible burden to carrry.

I do not agree with the use of violence to make a point.

And that is why I have an issue with the ANC trying to align itself with Gandhi

Been asked before. He ignores it.

God are you still trolling these topics? I though you said it doesnt interest you yet you have to drag yourself over here to post in yet every one of them?

As for my religion it is not important what I believe, what is important is the fact that Israel, the US and any other country that doesnt want to submit to terror, Arab or Muslims rule should be allowed to go on about their business without attacks from these groups.

Israel is the only democracy in the area and it has every right to survive and flourish there. Arbs clearly dont want peace, just death and destruction

He has friends who speak Hebrew and he's posted screenshots of their FB posts - in Hebrew - so I think it's pretty obvious that he does too.

If he is jewish, then he IS a jew. But he claims not to support the Zionist settlement enthusiasts, so he can't in all truth, be called a Zionist jew.

That said, the picture of him being jewish rather conflicts with my metal image of him - which is a verkrampt, retired ex-SAR railway guard.

Coming from a Muslim is that supposed to be an insult?
Oh and I have friends who speak Hebrew? Really? Interesting thanks for letting me know.
Retired ex SAR guard? :D Lol if only.......

You've posted screenshots of FB posts written in Hebrew. How else should we interpret them?

I realize reading comprehension is not your strong point, but several times I have told you that I am an atheist.

Seems like a tit for tat carmageddon playing out. There have been reports of settlers mowing down Palestinian kids as well.

Its not right either way, but in only one case is the driver killed before anything is established.

SUSPECTED JERUSALEM ATTACKER TURNS HIMSELF IN

A Palestinian who ran over three Israeli soldiers at a West Bank junction outside Jerusalem, in what police described as a deliberate terrorist attack, has turned himself in, a military spokeswoman said Thursday.

She was not immediately able to give further details.

Footage from a surveillance camera showed the man driving his van at full speed over the three soldiers waiting at the junction late Wednesday, seriously injuring one and moderately wounding the two others.

It came hours after another Palestinian, from East Jerusalem, killed a Druze border policeman and injured 13 passersby when he rammed his car into Israelis on the main road between East and West Jerusalem.

Hamas claimed responsibility for that attack, describing the driver as a "hero" who "sacrificed his life" to defend Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque.

Riots spread in Jerusalem after Israeli police allegedly stepped inside the mosque for the first time since 1967, when Israel captured East Jerusalem from Jordan.

Police have vehemently denied the charge, saying they only closed the gate to the mosque when they were pelted with stones and fireworks by masked youths inside the mosque.

The Waqf, the Muslim religious trust in charge of the mosque, produced a photograph of what it said was a footprint of a police boot on the mosque carpet, but not of any policeman actually inside, despite the clash having been much documented.

Jordan recalled its ambassador to Tel Aviv "for consultations" about the alleged police intrusion into the mosque.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a bid to calm tempers and in an reassurance to Jordan, Thursday again issued a public statement, pledging he would not change the status quo preserved for decades at the sensitive holy site.

"In security consultations last night, the prime minister clarified that there won't be any change to the status quo on the Temple Mount, and that whoever expresses another position is expressing his or her personal opinion and not that of the government of Israel," read the statement from Netanyahu's office.

The site, known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary, is sacred to both religions.

Israeli police arrested 16 people in and near East Jerusalem in clashes that erupted about the site, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said Thursday.

LATEST CASE OF ISRAELI SOLDIERS HIT BY CAR MAY HAVE BEEN AN ACCIDENT

by Ofira Koopmans and Shabtai Gold

A Palestinian who ran over three Israeli soldiers at a West Bank junction outside Jerusalem turned himself in Thursday. Reports indicated the incident may have been an accident.

While officials first said the traffic incident was likely the latest vehicular attack by Palestinians against Israelis as tensions continue to mount in Jerusalem, Israeli media Thursday reported that police now believe it was not an attack, but a case of hit and run.

Officials contacted by dpa said they could not immediately confirm the reports in several local media outlets, but stressed that the man did hand himself over to the security forces.

Hamas claimed responsibility for that attack, describing the driver as a "hero" who "sacrificed his life" to defend Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque, the focus of renewed tensions in the city.

Jordan recalled its ambassador to Tel Aviv "for consultations" about the alleged police intrusion into the mosque and promised to pursue the matter at the United Nations.

Turkey's leadership also slammed Israel, with Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu pledging to raise the issue at international forums.

"Jerusalem is supposed to be a city of peace and, instead, it has been transformed into a city of conflict, cruelty and barbaric actions because of Israel's demeanor. I ask all of humanity to stand up for Aqsa," Davutoglu said.

Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a vocal critic of Israel, has spoken by telephone with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas leader in exile Khaled Mashaal.
