Hi,

Does anyone have experience with Jetway graphics cards? I'm looking at getting one but I'm not sure about the quality of the boards.

Bah, this no edit sucks b@lls.

EDIT / NEW POST - Seems to be an average flavour.

There use to be an EDIT BUTTON under the posts, but it's no longer there :(

Were you thinking of getting at the 6600GT Jetway ?

EDIT : Hmmmmm , interesting. In IE i have the EDIT button, but not in FF, me going to update FF

i have a edit button in FF
version:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6

I'm looking at it, I can get it at R1250 (dealer you see . . ) Which is pretty sweet for a 6600GT, I just don't have much experience with the brand.

I had a bad experience a few years ago with a Powercolor, when they were newish, so I'm a bit cautious.

hehe, nothin but a 14 hour drive .........

Was it the genex promo or did you spot it somewhere else ?

To the GFX Guru's out there.

Will there be a big performance difference between the 128MB 6600GT and the 256MB 6600GT ?

Isn't that what AGP is for ? A quick offload to the conventional RAM ?

well there is a difference but if you have aperture size set to lets say 512 then the 256 cards are pointless

but if you only have like 512 or 1 gig of ram should make a diff

doobiwan ....powercolor what where you thinking ..... dont take it the wrong way man, but powercolor sucks really sucks.....

I've sold a couple of jetway screencards and not one person who i sold the screencard has come back to me. They might not be that big brand name but there is nothing wrong with there screencards. It works and give's you what you want from the screencard model you buy name 6600gt or 6800gt or even 5200 and any other models.

It's your choice but i dont see anything wrong with jetway cards

IM very happy with gigabyte. my previous card was a 5900XT, current one a 6600GT 128... they awesome..

Thanks Soulburner.

What can I say? Oh I remember - they were the only guys who had a PCI TNT2 not AGP. My girlfriend (now wife) had a compaq without an AGP slot.

Two mistakes not to repeat . . I'm not a fan of HP either. We've had three notebooks go down in two months JUST out of warranty.

I'm happy with ASUS screencards they also last long I have a Radeon x800xt plat 256mb and getting on 2005 3d mark 6250 points...

DONT BUY JETWAY

There are all a little slower than the standard cards and I have had many problems with the JETWAY brand products. Yes they are cheap, but stick to better known brands.

Well i bought a sparkle GFX card, everyone was going on abt how my 3d scores were gonna be bad, and how it would never runproperly.

Welli paid R1100 less than my buddy who got the gigabyte version, and guess what i kick his ass, in 3D Mark, in frames on quake, but i suppose it depends.
