Jnb core network degraded (Affects Jnb & Pta)

It affects Jnb & Pta, timeout on international sites, local secure sites (eg banking) and some others...

thank goodness for my ssh server to proxy everthing through ... major issues still on their network....

The reason for my initial post was that WBS (Shaun Green) called me at about 08:00 yesterday to confirm probs in Pta (ie, not only in Jnb) accessing secure (eg banking) and international sites. I gathered at the time that it was proxy related and also related to a power failure at UUNet on the 2nd. No ETA could be supplied at the time, just notice that they were attending to the prob.

Seems like the Jnb core will be in degraded state until the security probs are resolved. I wonder if it will still be in my lifetime?

Oh... wait... no... that's just IMPOSSIBLE! 'cos that means that WBS would actually have give a **** about their clients!!!
