Hi All can anyone tell me what options i have in paying for the toll gates from JHB to DBN , i am looking at the easiest method of payment ...

Are debit cards taken or are there better methods?

Thanks in advance...
D

Cash, about R200 each way. There are some tolls that take cards, but I'm not sure if they accept Maestro/Visa Electron debit cards.
sorry i know its not what you asked but you rather fly down ...i think its cheaper
For one person, it might be cheaper to fly. But for more than one person it's cheaper to drive.

yeah its much cheaper cause its like 450 minimum for petrol one way and r200 toll roads ....crazy and airfares are about r700

They don't accept debit cards, so you have to either have a credit card or a great deal of cash!

Take cash with you, make sure that you have the right change or amount for each toll because some of the pay point personnel take for ever to give you the correct change back

I normally use my garage card and its really quick through each plaza. Garage cards seem to be rare these days though.

Hi Guys,

@ Ambo thanks for that Garage card it is :)

As far as flying we will be stopping in Newcastle and want a road trip!

Thanks
D

Use cash, using a credit card is a risk, the card is swiped out of sight, know of 2 people that had their cards skimmed.

Petrol card is the best option, you don't pay for the transaction.
