Jim Volkwyn is the CEO of pay-TV at Naspers.
Volkwyn was appointed as CEO after Eben Greyling stepped down from the position in April 2014. Volkwyn previously served as the head of the group’s pay-TV segment.
Jim began his career with Naspers in 1991 as finance manager of M-Net. From 1996 to 1997 he was chief operating officer of MultiChoice Africa. Subsequently he served as chief executive of MultiChoice South Africa for three years, and remains on the board of directors. From 2000 to 2009 he was chief executive of MIH’s television operations. He holds a BCom from the University of Cape Town and qualified as a chartered accountant(SA).
