Jnr Software Developer

Yeah whatever man. You are constantly rehashing the same crap assuming it somehow proves your approach is object oriented. What _kabal_ said of pigeon chess is very accurate here. And I have a pretty good idea of why you asked about my qualification and the way you asked it.

You are making no sense here. Most compilers are available for a wide variety of platforms and if they can't run on the platform there is at least the option to compile code for the platform. While there may be some situations where it does apply it's far from being a lot.

Are you kidding? Reread what you've written. What you mentioned (bar exception handling) are language constructs specifically for supporting OOP. And you complain about the performance of these but want to emulate them. That doesn't make any sense and is a good indication that you are the one who doesn't know what OOP is.

SERIOUSLY! What is your qualifications and job experience?

Why are you ignoring me

Lol fanboyism, can't compete with logic and reason.

I watched a video on youtube where Bjarne Stroustrup said C is obsolete. Eish

When it comes to compilers perhaps. Apart from a few keyword issues any C++ compiler should be able to compile C code. A lot of C code IS compiled with C++ compilers without changing any settings even. Even more reason the comments don't make sense. C++ is only inefficient if you unnecessarily use OOP constructs. In the cases you do need them though they can be more efficient than trying long winded workarounds and the code is more readable.

Even more reason the comments don't make sense.

When you have designed a programming language, written a compiler, changed the course of software development for the entire planet. You are then allowed to make those remarks. Until then you are nothing.

That must have taken all of your intelligence to muster up.

I just find it very amusing that you seem to think you understand C++ and C more than one of its creators (C++). I mean are you seriously that deluded by your false sense of intelligence?

Linus Torvalds doesn't seem to like C++ though. Link (if legit)
Then he says Java is a horrible language

So to the Op, you are left with C# - Though he(Linus Torvalds) hates MS. LOL

Read a few posts back, we did mention it. But yes he is very pro c which is fine. But the reason is because a lot of his kernel code runs on devices where c is the only option.

It's amusing that you are actually the one that disagrees with him. ;)

Ah true my bad sorry, i actually misinterpreted it. With you i never know if you for C++ or against it.

He does have other valid reasons apart from that. This article has a long rant from him:

Encapsulation is less of an issue today with link time compilation, but the implicit code execution just makes C++ a big no for certain types of applications.
