Extremely dodgy and suspicious email received today :

January, 2009

We are hiring!

Are you out of job?
Your current job isn't paying enough?
You don't have proper eductaion for high positions?

At Coca Cola everything is possible! We have the budget to hire anyone from any country where our company is present. All you need to do is fill out the form we have attached and get ready to bring your career to the next level and triple your current salary!

Our company offers excellent benefits such as 60 days paid vacation, company car, health insurance for you and for your family, option to work from home and friendly work environment.

We have open positions in Sales, Marketing, Information Technology, Accounting, Logistics, Engineering, Quality Assurance and much more.
None of the positions require any kind of education or work experience!

Attached is a zip file. Extracting that zip file reveals a .exe file.

Now I am extremely suspicious.

Who wants said .exe for further testing? :D TIAL?

Regards

Libs

I lack total eductaion and experience,can I apply? :>

That .exe file should destroy your OS if you open it, leaving you with a message on the screen:
Turn around, walk away and forget about computers. You can live without them.

yes, none at all....

Tried that .exe in a VM - nothing happens which I can see, although it might be doing dodgy stuff in the background. Deleted said VM, don't want to take any chances :D

Bwahahaha... and another one :

You have recieved a Hallmark E-Card from your friend.

To see it, check the attachment.

There's something special about that E-Card feeling. We invite you to make a friend's day and send one.

Hope to see you soon,
Your friends at Hallmark

I am not that daft  :D

60 days of leave, tripple my salary.. its worth the risk!! Send the .exe!!!! NOW!!!

Anybody wants those suspicious attachments for testing purposes only, drop me a PM and we can make a plan to transfer them.

I have received "job offers" from various companies over the last three months. Just wanted info though, no dodgy zips/exes were attached. The one company, can't remember who now, had a big banner on their real website, subtly stating that they are NOT offering jobs, via email or any other means.

Whoever falls for it, and runs the attachment out of ignorance, deserves to have their OS/system hosed.

Usually those without attachments are Kidnapping-rings. Fly over for an interview to "Country x". Kidnap. Randsom. Profit
