I was at a friend's place yesterday and of course (as I do [
]) whipped out my MyWireless modem to grab something off the net. To my delight, I had 3 lights, so I hauled out my laptop and hooked it up. To my suprise, it was seeing tower 22 (which I had not seen previously, or seen on the tower list that was posted on this forum) with 11% signal. I could not however connect to it (got the dreaded 'Server did not respond' error). Was just using the built-in antenna, no Pringles can or anything.
Their place is in Northriding (down the road from the Dome).
Is anyone connecting to this tower?
Could this be a phase 2 tower that is not active yet?
Could I have been picking up one of the 22's in Pretoria (seems unlikely, I was certainly more than 30km from Pretoria).
