think knife, butter and hot. Quality is quite frankly superb and the UI is top shelf!

Resurrecting an older thread.

I applied for the beta. Got message today. Its actually quite cool. Nice image, ran just fine. I am on a line 4mb line though -- it should do. Apparently it needs a 1mb line min. By the time our bandwidth gets international we are lucky if it is 1 mb.

All the same it seems to show promise. I am impressed.

Through some twist of fate my 4096 line is now a 512 so I'm waiting for telkom to re-upgrade it - Joost really doesnt like 512 very much

Who knows Hopefully they'll sort it out soon - computers were down in their offices apparently for nearly the entire day so I guess I'm now part of that backlog too.

I'm curious about Joost over iBurst too.

With a good strong signal it'd probably be (just) ok in terms of absolute bandwidth, but doesn't Joost's system work like a p2p/torrent style network? In which case I'd imagine iBurst would block or throttle it pretty heavily :-/

I've used Joost here in the UK and it lags sometimes over my 8meg line. Good interface and quality though.
