Again, again and again.
"We are trying very hard to forgive"
Just blame it on appartheid.
This journalist was saying your comrades in the townships are doing exactly what the ANC's leaders were doing in the locations during the '70 and 80's.
Have a look at any of their propaganda "films". All the brave cadres burning and looting anything that came in their way. Whenever a camera appeared a struggle leader would appear applauding the "protesters" for their brave effort in turning the country into a mess.
They were burning counsel's houses, looting and burning shops. blocked roads and highways, stoned and burned vehicles and made life as difficult for the security forces as possible.
What has changed mr. Mthembu?
Nothing.
Nothing for those people in the locations. Only the locations are called townships.
The people are now allowed to vote and rot in misery knowing it is their own kind that is keeping them in exactly the same conditions as the hated Boers.
Now they react in the same manner you have tought them.
"For somebody to vulgarise our fight against apartheid...."
What is the journalist vulgarising mr. Mthembu?
Are the protests, in the same manner that you protested, vulgar?
Is it vulgar to compare the two protests?
Should we necklace the leaders who dare to oppose our brave cadres from the struggle, or was that a nasty tactic from the boers?
No, mr Mthembu. I think you are just a racist hipocrate.
That’s when a Beeld journalist asked whether protesters weren’t just following the example set during apartheid years.
“I am a little shocked,” said NEC member Lynne Brown.
ANC spokesman Jackson Mthembu suggested that the journalist apologise.
“Many of us who sit here, we sit with scars. We are trying very hard to forgive… For somebody to vulgarise our fight against apartheid domination in this manner – it simply does not go down well.”
Again, again and again.
