Yes, it's Malema day again...

A snippet from a Daily Maverick article got me thinking:

http://www.thedailymaverick.co.za/a...advertising-value-of-being-hated-by-the-media

Supporters of a political figure like Julius Malema are attracted to all the negative qualities that others reject. His fiery temperament, his no-holds-barred statements about white people are not discrediting him among those tending to support him any more than André Visagie’s outburst on eTV will alienate his AWB followers.

In other words, the only way to undermine Malema's authority is for his opponents to "support" him. Malema wants to nationalise mines? You dig for them gems, boy! Malema wants to shoot the b**r? Bring him his machine gun! Malema thinks Mugabe kicks ass? Well, he does! (With a jackboot.)

The great thing is that the people stupid enough to listen to Malema aren't going to notice the irony. In a mean and twisted sort of way, it might even enhance nation-building... ;-)

Either way, from now on I'm 100% for Malema. At least he has slightly more sack than Zuma...

The phrase is hate speech, remember? Doesn't matter where or how you use it.

You really think so? Hate speech is all about context, what you typed is just a reference to someone else's words, not hate speech. In my opinion anyway, and I doubt any court would care if you typed it in that way either.

Hey, If I'm not allowed to call those round hard sweets with the black liquorice outside and layered insides n i ggerballs anymore (I loved those things as a kid and they are part of my culture.) old struggle vets can stop calling afrikaans farmers boere and stop singing about shooting them.

We all need to make sacrifices in the name of racial harmony.
