Will Juli-Ass never learn? He cannot imagine that this will improve his chances of a successful appeal against his membership suspension; if anything the ANC will hit him with further insubordination and disrespect charges.

ANC Youth League president Julius Malema has again ridiculed President Jacob Zuma, this time leading supporters in a song about how "the shower man is giving us a hard time" - while gesturing with a make-believe shower head at the party's Limpopo conference.

Malema's supporters demanded that Zuma be removed, accusing him of masterminding a "coup" in Limpopo.

Last week, Minister of Finance Pravin Gordhan placed under national administration several key Limpopo departments responsible for awarding tenders. Malema is a beneficiary of several tenders.

Malema made his fresh attack at the University of Limpopo, where his key ally, premier Cassel Mathale, was fighting to retain his position as chairman.

The shower song was a reference to Zuma, who, in his rape trial in 2006, told the High Court in Johannesburg that he took a shower after having unprotected sex with his HIV-positive accuser.

Two years later, Malema, at a Free State rally, said he would "kill for Zuma". But now his antics will annoy Zuma, who is upset with Sunday Times cartoonist Jonathan Shapiro, also known as Zapiro, for portraying him with a shower extending from the top of his head. Zuma is currently suing Shapiro for R5-million in damages. The case is set for trial in August 2012.

Strong anti-Zuma sentiment prevailed among Mathale's supporters, who sang "showara wa re sokodisa (the shower man is giving us a hard time)" as Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe walked in.

Motlanthe didn't visibly react to the song or the gesture.

Depends who is in power.

If Zuma loose in Bloemfontein, expect Juju to be back and in a position within the ANC.

If Zuma wins I expect that Juju will loose his appeal and Zuma's opposition to be kicked out of the ANC.

So what do you want, Zuma or Juju in power? We are in a catch22 situation, unless DA can come up with a plan to take at least close to 50% of the votes in the next national election.

To add the Bloemfontein election process is, IMHO, going to be close.

Will have to wait and see when we get closer to the election time.

I agree with you, but they need to be weeded out... one at a time.

The also forget about political affiliation. The Judicial system needs to get its arse in gear.

Prosecute every single person who commits fraud or participates in corrupt activities, regardless of who they support. Once the populace sees their "heroes" like JuJu, Maharaj, Mathale, Faku and company in court they will hopefully start waking up to the fact that they were the ones being screwed over for the last 20 years.

Agreed, but it doesn't help you fill the judicial system with your cronies. Will have to see if Zuma's move of appointing Moegoe pans out.

This is good for Zapiro's court case. How can the president of the ANC complain about being defamed in a newspaper if songs get sung at his parties Limpopo conference mocking him as the shower man with Malema twisting his arm like a shower handle on his head. Surely if Zapiro is being sued then Malema must be sued for the exact same thing?

Exactly what I thought when reading the article. Also ingenious of Sunday Times to slip Zapiro's name into the article ahead of the court case.

Mickey it makes no difference what he does, he cannot win his appeal. Some of the members are in mining and he wants to nationalize. Fail of note.

The only thing he can do now is stop bitching and start his own party or join cope perhaps. He needs to forget the anc and go farm or start a party.

All he needs?

One bullet.

He is hurting this country of ours and us individuals are getting hurt in the process; whether black, white, green, yellow, purple, etc. He is a destructive element.

+1

Malema knows that he will (definitely) be suspended from the ANC for 5 years or more once his appeal is finalized. So mocking, undermining and disrespecting Zuma will not alter things for him.

So close, Cassel Mathale has won the chairmanship of the Limpopo province. According to my source, Mathale received 601 votes while Joe Phaahla got 519 votes, Mathale won by some 82 votes.

A part of me wants the Limpopo province to completely collapse so that in the near future people and sane South Africans will associate Malema and Mathale with a failed province.

I would rather limpopo didn't collapse. Let's not forget that it was the youth league you claim to belong to who helped Mathale win.

As a peacenik hippie idiot, I'd press the trigger myself, given the opportunity.
