Julius has subsequently authored two written apologies: one to South African education minister Ms Naledi Pandor and another to the IFP, specifically their leader Mangosuthu Gatsha Buthelezi.

My question is thus: can Malema read and write?

Even if we assume he can, judging by the grammar and eloquent style of writing in the apologies I can most definitely say they were written for him. The guy couldn't pass woodwork, surely semi-colons mystify this buffoon? He is even worse than George Dubya in that not only is he an idiot, but a poorly educated idiot.

Hopefully this latest stance by the ANC is an indication that they are planning to get rid of Malema, who is clearly defaming their own cause; or, at the very least, reeling him in properly for a change.

Baboon Malema gets to much air time.

I think Malema should do the honourable thing - become an organ donor and off himself in front of the nearest hospital. At least that way he'd be of some use to the world.

That link isn't to his written apology. I wonder if he paid Niehaus to do it, in which case it'll be lies but at least he helped pay off some of the debts.

If he didn't mean it, why did he say it? That's what I want to know...

You are not serious, are you?
His apology is meaningless because the damage has been done. That's what he does. He says bad stuff, knowing that it will get people talking, then apologizes after.

You heard the guy talk? I doubt he can string words together in a letter to make any sense. Obviously somebody wrote them for him, and probably came up with the content themselves, if Malema cant think before he opens his ugly disgusting mouth, then sure as hell he cant write apology letters.

I do have the wording of his written apology to Naledi, which is the style of writing I was commenting on. Unfortunately its in PDF, I suppose I could upload it somewhere.

RE: UNCONDITIONAL APOLOGY FOR THE REMARKS MADE AT THE TSHWANE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY MASS MEETING.

Dear Comrade Pandor

On the 11th of February 2009, the African National Congress Youth League and other Progressive Youth Alliance formations visited the Tshwane University of Technology to pledge solidarity with the striking workers and students. We visited TUT because we were strongly convinced that whatever are the disputes for the strike, it could never be justifiable that it lasted for more than 14 important days in the institution’s calendar. We were further concerned that many students had to evicted from the institution, whilst some had not even finalized their registration process.

You are most probably aware that while I was speaking on behalf of the ANC YL in solidarity with workers and students at the Tshwane University of Technology, I made uncalled for remarks about you, which were widely captured by the media. I acknowledge that the remarks I made against you were uncalled for and might have disappointed and hurt you.

I write this letter to unconditionally apologise for those remarks. The ANC YL and I personally hold you in high regard both as a cadre of the African National Congress, Mother and Minister of Education. The ANC YL has previously expressed appreciation for the fact that you did not join the angry people who resigned from Cabinet after the recalling of former President Thabo Mbeki. You remained in the ANC and continued to serve the people of South Africa as Minister of Education. Such decisions and steadfastness taught us a great lesson that in a democracy, once decisions are taken, the right to differ declines into insignificance, until such time where there is space for review. You have in many occasions been a great teacher to us, and always expressed your honest opinions and views, even when they did not enjoy popular support.

Once again, we-assert our most sincere and unconditional apology to you and the African National Congress for what we accept to have been uncalled for remarks. We will continue to interact with your office on the many programmes we previously agreed upon and on the resolution of the TUT challenges, which we strongly believe requires a decisive intervention.

Please be informed that we will alert the African National Congress leadership and membership that we have unconditionally apologised for the remarks, whilst await your response.

Kind Regards,

Julius Malema, ANC YL President

Okay - he may have written it himself. It has enough errors!

But who the hell is this 'we' he keeps on about?

Guy on the radio phoned in yesterday to tell how Malema ordered a rental Merc from his girlfriend's company. He met Malema when they delivered the vehicle. Malema paid something like R35k in cash & invited them in for drinks - Johnny Walker blue label all around.

Methinks Malema declined the possie in Parliament 'cos he knew would be giving up a cushy job for a position where he would be expected to deliver or worse, exposed for the fraud that he is.

No way did he write that sentence, there are words with more than four letters in them!

I heard on the news that the ANC Youth League sent the letter and that he did not write it himself. 'On behalf of' which pretty much means he is not sorry. He did not phone her to apologize nor look her in the eye. That letter was sent by some youth league secretary.
