We're a small company based in Illovo with seven people on staff. Six of which are developers, including the owner of the company. We specialize in creating web based systems driven by Node.js and PostgreSQL. We have a total of six systems live all of which have been developed for Platinum Life and it's sister companies. Our three flagship systems comprise of a life insurance management system (Platinum Life), Client management system (Isabella Garcia) and a Manufacturing management system (SkinChem). All of our systems are hosted in Linux environments and make use of open source software. As a team we continually push each other to improve and move out of our comfort zones to experience new technologies or development methodologies.
Position and Requirements Summary
This is a Junior to Intermediate position so we expect proof of programming experience, be it in the technologies below, hobby or professional career.
Main technologies used in our work environment are:
- CentOS, Ubuntu
- Node.js
- PostgreSQL(PL/pgSQL)
- Git
Experience in the following will also be beneficiary:
- Mono, PHP, Python
- Firefox(Firebug), Chrome Developer Tools
- Vim
- Other Operating Systems: GNU/Linux, Unix, Windows.
- HTML5/CSS/JavaScript
- Knockout.js, Backbone.js, Underscore.js
Remuneration
Remuneration between R 15 000 and R 20 000 CTC per month, we also do profit share.
