Just a FUNNY thing!!! (iBurst)

OMG!!!! now it is my fault :-FFS!!! i am never soldering anything again-:

haha "no one" pulling the cash is not enough if you cant put it "in"

Moral of the story: Women ask alot :D

I object to people like Source posting his horror stories on forums because it removes natural selection from the internet. If it doesn't seem like a chronically bad idea to attempt to solder a new antenna onto a R3000 piece of hardware without at least a general knowledge of soldering techniques and some research into antenna then I don't want you on my internet, please break you connection.

Dude I might not know alot about soldering and soldering techniques from now on ill leave that to the “Soldering ***s” coz there seems to be a lot on this forum. But the part of me getting off your INTERNET… dude grow up you most probably don’t know the first thing about NETWORKING where I happen to be a ***. I CODE for a living I don’t solder on s**t … and if you think this is YOUR internet I think you should go get your self a nice LAN you can call your own… now and then I will send you a few outdated web-pages on a CD so you can look at..just to keep you informed coz you live in your own WORLD!

sheesh some people just can't take a joke, a little fyi though I've been a sysadmin for isp's and similar companies for the last 8 years...

do these pages allow pics?
if so..

Source saves the day

Gee I thought it was supposed to be last words, but okay I can see I'm in deep here, all these IT guys and team leaders and solderers and whatnot, hey I'm not in IT, but becaue of the IT industry I've had to be in it, while trying to do my normal job as a journalist, simply because the IT industry comes up with things that don't work without a kick here and a tweak there. Take that in mind the lot of you who drum up your own experience.

My internet connectivity dates back to '94 when I was being ripped off by compuserve and CSIR for my then R2000 per month connectivity fee and every flipping day since then, in all that time we've gone from 9.6kbps right through to G-d on a plate.

And as all these updates and changes have come about, I've had some frustrating moments where I've done 'stoopid' things that most of the time haven't worked, but sometimes they have. And during those times I have had some very brilliant advice in forums and the occasional bs, but I can't ever remember being flamed the way noone flamed source.

So if we're all going to carry on about experience and who does or knows what, then I think Sources latest victory in finding a solution for his problem (albeit not related to the soldering issue - it came about because of it - with no help from noone no matter what he says about research) and noones subsequent pathetic flaming on the subject, proves IN MY EXPERIENCE, that Source has provided a much better contribution overall to the internet community than noone has, or ever will, unless he thinks before he flames.

So sticking to my original point in this forum, my case rests.

Oh and sorry to people like spamtheman who want people like Source off 'your' internet (was it yours back in '94 when I wasn't competing for bandwidth with f-cktards like yourself, I must ask) but perhaps you should check his latest post on how he solved his issue, maybe then you too will reserve your useless comments until you have a case to make.

Nighty night all.

You must be young then? Because I'm a programmer as well, but needed an electrical engineering degree to actually become one, did my N3 and then saw the whole IT market booming and realized you don't need a varsity degree if you're already a good programmer.

How can you be in IT and not even soldered before? Thats besides the point. I applaud you from at least learning from your previous mistake and a very good job done on finding an antenna solution.

Steve, I don't care how literate you might be, I've contributed much more than half-assed flames like I did. But I feel that if I went and said nothing, Source would never have learnt.

BTB, Source, you sure you're not one of my Junior Programmers? Because they all need a kick in the butt, but due to office politics, I can only nod and smile and fix their f-ups for them! :)

Spamtheman, I wish I'd rather have your dexterity with word when I flamed him, you almost split my sides....

Stupidity causes cancer...

If we had to hold a vote as to which person contributed the least to this thread, I'd bet that we could not actually decide on one single person.
We may as well stop.
Source has solved his problem (Different thread), educated us and been quite a good sport.
Spam has learnt that we cannot always tell when he's making a joke.
No-one managed to keep the thread on the top of the active threads queue.
And I really enjoyed the whole thing.
I promise that i'll not post to this thread again. *Crosses fingers.*

"No-one managed to keep the thread on the top of the active threads queue"
