Just a little rant about PS3

So there I am looking forward to playing Battlefield Bad Company online after messing around with the single player and finding the game very enjoyable.

Get the PS3 hooked up to the Internet. Start BF. Oh looky here a 100meg update :mad:

After a looooooooong time and negotiating favourable times to download what with other family on the WAN I finally get BF updated.

I click on multiplayer....oh no look now I need to sign up to the PStation network or some k*k.

OK no problem...reboot and try sign on the PS network. """"""You need to update your system software before you can sign on to the PS network"""""

OK then lets try a system update. hmmm should be too bad as I am at version 2.30 and it wants 2.42.

Click OK to start download...wait wait wait wait wait wait....wait some more....wait some more...5 minutes pass..... 1% 1 whole percent?!?!:mad::mad::mad:

I am so sick of bull these days :( *sigh really I am....why oh why
 
Well trophies are nice and all and good to show off but seriously.. 150meg?? Does the PS materialise and deposit the trophies to me in hand or something?

Well anyway I guess that unless I am really tempted to go forward with this download I would rather do something else :/ bye bye for now Battlefield :(
 
Jealous? Of what exactly?

Text messaging? been there, done that, got the chatpad that actually works, and voice.
Trophies? My Gamerscore = 10187 and climbing, been there, done that.

@JTS, don't give up dude! Battlefield is awesome online. It's worth a 500Mb download if you have to.

@doobi & Kage, ignore my last two posts, i was only joking around,

lets not ruin Jonny 2 shoes thread, with fanboy stuff, lets keep it on the blu ray and ps3/xbox threads.
 
Shouldn't this be a rant about our internet connectivity? What kind of connection do you have? Updates are (supposed to be) good

We know that ;) but if you're going to take a shot, it's just no fun if you don't have a retort for round two ;)

As I said before Johnny, just lock your family in the bathroom and DL whatever patches you need to get BF running. :D

Yah my thoughts go to the connection type, updates usually download no problem.
 
@ Jonny Two Shoes

There is a problem at the moment with international downloads, very slow. Don't blame PS3 for the slow connection, but you can blame them for releasing so many updates.
 
Were you trying to play the game with family on the WAN? You're just asking for trouble there too.
