So I saw the new prices for the iPhone 6s and 6s plus, my question is, the iPhone 6s remains the same price as the iPhone 5s was when it was released, $649 on the Apple website as an unlocked phone, so why in the world is the iPhone 6s not the same price as the iPhone 5s when it was here 2 years ago? Even the iPhone 6 went up a fair amount compared to the price of an iPhone 5s, I recall having to pay for a 400 rand a month for an iPhone 5 back in the day, it's magically escalated to around 530 for an iPhone 6 and I wouldn't be surprised if the iPhone 6s will be well over 600 a month, but why! Import prices couldn't have been raised that much, I think that carriers and Core have just gotten a bit greedy... Does anyone have any clarity on this?

Also, everyone seems to forget that the US prices exclude state tax. So your $649 phone still needs 8-10% added to it depending on where you buy it in store.
