Anyone think that the 2nd hand prices of the current polo would go down a bit after the new polo is released?

I'll be needing to get another car soon and its a toss up between the 1.6 polo and a 2004 1.6 astra.

The problem with the Polos is that while the new model looks great now, you know that 4 years after it's been released, every second car on the road will be a Polo and then it ends up look very ordinary.

VWs do have great resale value though, and I'm looking to get rid of my Polo and get something that isn't as common, but also holds a good resale value. This is a lot trickier than I first thought it would be.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one _ Polo's have held their price very nicely over two model changes and several facelifts in the past 12 years..
