Just Bought a Harmony One, HELP!

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to program the dstv pvr remote! I have the normal Dual View PVR 1 (DVR-3000) and Xtraview with HD PVR 2p. Cant figure out how to program it to work.

Any help please?
 
Forgive my ignorance but i read that you program it using either their online tool (1000s of programmes setup) or the offline tool.

How are you trying to set it up?

Hopefully one of the harmony users will shed some light, i am onyl getting mine later this week , the 700 so only then i can assist :p.
 
Im using the logitech installation guide and adding devices. I'v managed to get the tv and audio to work, my only issue is the dstv. I have dual view pvr and hd pvr in xtraview, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the remote to work on all dstv channels.

The dstv decides are listed as a device under pvr's if I remember correctly. I believe if you search for Multichoice PVR1 and Multichoice PVR2 it will set up the dual view. I can't remember the code for the HDPVR , but it is on the dstv forums. They have all the codes listed there - just go to forum.dstv.com and search there

Thank Yuu, will have a look at it if I dont come right. I have managed to get TV1 of the dual view pvr to work, although the fast forward button does not seem to work, rewind button works. I'm about to attempt the HD PVR2p and see if it works. Then will need to get TV2 of the dual view decoder working.
 
Ok managed to get the HD PVR 2P to work. Now I dont know how to setup TV2 on the dual pvr.

Anyone have any ideas?

Sorry for the derail but I just bought a Harmony 600 today and it has a slight rattle in it.

Is this normal? or should I return it?

Had fun getting the thing to connect and only after really sorting it out and adding the functions did I notice the rattle :twisted:
 
Apparently it is normal. Doesn't have accelerometer like more expensive models, relies on mechanical system i.e. moving parts. My 650 has slight rattle but don't really notice anymore.
 
Just realized it may still be called an accelerometer from a technical perspective but the point is that it's a simpler implementation in the lower end of the range so tends to be noisier.
 
Don't worry, my Harmony One which I just bought today also has a rattle. Not gonna make a big fuss about it. All I need is to get TV2 working now. So please... Back to my question please :P
 
rattle ? when you shake it ?

my harmony 650 only forgets that DSTV is off or on, slight bug there. (sorry dont have a PVR to test with)

My harmony 600 switches on the X-Box when I press the PVR On button. Still has to reconfigure.
 
Does no one know how to get the harmony one to work with Tv2 of the dual view pvr 1 (Dvr-3000)???
