Justice chiefs tackle Microsoft

The Justice Department has taken Microsoft to court, alleging that the computer giant overcharged it by almost R10-million in a software contract.

But Microsoft argues that the department failed to act within a stipulated two-year period, because the contract was signed in March 2005.

Well this could be interesting, as I feel MS will win this one hands down... and its not MS's job to tell the client how many licenses they need.. its the clients job to inform MS how many they need

So ultimately someone in the department overestimated the number of licenses needed...

This is such a joke! Pretty much the Justice Department is saying that they didn't overpay Microsoft R10million (obviously not, there is no such thing as corruption amongst ANC appointed officials!) but then claims Microsoft received R10million too much in payments?

Well, which is it? So you know that R10million left the Department but no one is responsible for doing having paid Microsoft - so how did it happen then? Or did it?

Good gracious, this government doesn't know its head from its ass! What's the bet Microsoft didn't even receive the money but it went straight into some officials' pockets?
