Anybody still following them?
I still follow them, I attend most of their talks at JSE. Listen to their weekly podcasts.

In 2016 Simon launched his 3 funds and was going to be completely open book about everything.
The last update I see is Feb 2016?

Still running, Simon sends weekly updates, every Sunday to subscribers, it is a free subscription. Not sure how how his trading account did last year. Last update was 9 Dec, no open trades since, all sitting in cash, and waiting for new triggers. I'm not participating, I just subscribe.

Anybody know what the returns were on these accounts?

This was replaced by STXMMT. Same strategy so no need to DIY anymore.

Is there no mention of the returns?

Reason I ask is that backtesting showed that the system is not profitable (even before it started).
Would like to know if any subscribers did make money on this.

I might have missed return for 2018.

So its made 15k on 200k in 2 years or 7.5% total return
So thats 3.5% per annum, meaning had he left it cash it wouldve been better off with money market rates.

Guess its better than losses.

Just messing around here a bit and included other ETF's now:

Annual Return 7%
Drawdowns of 25%

Basically there was 1 trade Long on the STXINDI from 2011 to 2014 that made the profit.
Literally every other ETF and over the past 15 years with this strategy wouldve meant losses.

Last time this strategy was profitable on the Top40 was in 2006 (12 years ago)
