President Jacob Zuma is taking a few days off to rest, according to a post on Twitter on Wednesday.

"I am taking a few days off to rest and enjoy watching the sun rise and set without rushing anywhere, till Saturday," the note read.

Presidency spokesperson Zizi Kodwa confirmed Zuma would be off until Saturday.

He returned from the Democratic Republic of Congo on Tuesday, where he co-chaired the 7th DRC-South Africa Bi-national Commission with his counterpart Joseph Kabila.

Yes, the country is wrecked with poverty, people have no homes, food, jobs or lives to speak of and the Prez takes a few days off to "watch the sun rise and set".

WTF? You have a job!!! Do it !!! This is not a paid holiday !!!

Doesn't the president get a certain amount of days off like every other worker in SA?

Seems a bit much to go on about this bluno. So he is taking a few days off. In those few days could he solve the poverty problem? Stop corruption? Give the man a break, let him enjoy the sunrise and sun set.

Truth be told I'm not a fan of the man but everyone is entitled to a few days off, aren't they?

Combined with his arrogance, corruption, nepotism, greed and general disregard for justice, I think his laziness just tipped the scales on my patience. I have no intention of giving him a break.

See my reply to killa.

How did this even make news? Big deal - he's taking a few days off. Woooooo hoooooo,

He doesn't do any real work anyway.

Indeed, can't even begin to imagine the amount of pressure this dude must be under constantly, don't reckon i could handle it at all!

Seems like every day is a holiday for the man. If work was done, Yes I would not have felt nasty. But what has he done?

Everything insignificant has to be made into big news... meanwhile ordinary citizens get killed and no mention is made about that, or how long the SAPS took to react (if they actually did react)

Would hate to be in his shoes. He could alleviate that pressure by ordering an airstrike on Malema's house. It would be in the best interests of national security imho.

And then we would happy to see him go on a short holiday :)

Probably a R10 million committee will be set up to tell him where does the sun rise and set.

I guess we can expect a few more pregnancies during his time off .. it's not like we don't know what he likes to do when he's not doing what he's paid to do.
