K850i First Impressions

I had the same problem with a sluggish K750 (which I bought as it came out); which was fixed with the next firmware upgrade. All was great until the day my joystick started giving me trouble - got a K800i now. Just wait for the next firmware and maybe you'll be suprised (no guarantees though).

Today when trying to access Applications, i get "Operation failed" error.
Tried restarting it a few times but no luck. Searched on google and apparently its quite a big problem, seems the only solution is to send the phone in for reflash...anyone else had this problem?

Everyone that had the phone when it came out will experience this problem.
Before a master reset would fix it, now you need a software upgrade, also the SPs will only fix that particular part, they dont give you new firmware.

I dont think I can even take my phone anywhere to get fixed as I got it from Dubai last month. Apparently the new firmware that sorts this and other problems is only available for the branded K850s, so mine being unbranded, I cant update the firmware through SEUS... ::(

Sorry for digging up this buried thread, but I was wondering if you people who have had the K850i phones for a while now could give me an update? Did the firmware updates make the phone more responsive? How is the keypad? When I first got my K750i almost 2 years ago I disliked the buttons because they felt way too tight. Now I love it. Did you have the same experience with the k850i?

Yeah, anymore feedback on this phone? I am thinking of getting it... or the k810i... it's kinda disappointing how there is a problem with every phone out there!

The k80i looks awesome, never used it but I wouldnt mind one :D

i'm sitting with the same problem for an upgrade.... pay the money for the k850 or settle for the k810

how old is the k810 n has there been any improvement on the k850's slow performance?

The K810 is better than the K850, so don't settle for the K850. :)

Someone should close this thread its old! I didnt realise it the other day
