Hi guys,

Not sure if I am out of line here but would like some suggestions. I sold my phone over the weekend and placed an order for a Gobii IIP to use in the interim on Saturday night as it was listed under '24 hour dispatch'. I paid and everything was all good. As it was the weekend, I knew emails would only be checked on Monday, so I sent 2 emails asking if I could pay for delivery to get it quicker as it was an emergency. No response. Monday comes and I receive an email informing me my item is dispatched. Now it's Thursday, and my waybill number is still not working, however they assure me it was dispatched and it 'should' arrive today.

I'm just wondering, even with the public holiday and whatnot, is it acceptable to not reply to my emails, for the item to take this long, or for the waybill to still not work?

As far as I know, everything on their site was updated to "Dispatched within 48 hours (2 working days)" since earlier this month...
Which means it would have been sent out latest yesterday, to be delivered today.

In my experience, waybills for overnight shipping rarely works properly from some of the couriers... it doesn't update regularly enough...

Mine doesn't even work as of yet :P Waiting for them to follow up with courier..

That page should identify the courier. If it does not, then it is usually Dawn Wing or UTI.

It doesnt list it anywhere. It just says Overnight Express. However the tracking number worked on the Dawn Wing website. I can now see the parcel left this morning, however there are no updates through the Kalahari link. Still waiting for them to get back to me after my email + call this morning.

I ordered two gobii's from them, took just over two weeks to be delivered after my payment was confirmed. No joke.

Had the same problem last month. I called Dawn Wing directly and arranged with a very helpful lady to escalate my order. At that stage I was still awaiting feedback from Kalahari.

Tried calling Dawn Wing several times, they kept telling me 'putting you through' and then there's just endless Christmas tunes..

Guess it depends on the area you stay, Fedex seem to have the contract for PE's Western Suburbs and are really jacked up.

... mind you PE isn't exactly a sprawling metropolis, it's difficult to stay more than 15kms from the airport and still claim you live in PE :)

Tried calling Dawn Wing this morning again and no one answers. So I called Kalahari and got the same response as yesterday morning.. 'hmmm, let me see who the courier is and find out whats going on' and then no one gets back to me. Services levels = below hell.

PROGRESS!! Got a call back from Kalahari now.. they called me to let me know they're working hard at finding a 'reason' why it hasn't been delivered since yesterday. They aren't sure IF it will be delivered today, but they will find a reason why it hasn't been delivered. Thanks.

In the future the best way is to nag them on the social networking sites. Report it as well on HelloPeter if need be. Keep it civil but be insistent.

Had a similar type issue myself recently with Takealot and one of their designated couriers- SkyNet.
End result was both the head courier guy at Takealot (Greg) and the lady that runs the show? (Deidre) at SkyNet called me personally and got the lazy ass driver to deliver my stuff that same evening. Driver looked none too pleased as he entered my driveway close to 9pm that evening. :D
