Kam Chetty is the Enterprise Service Country Manager for HP South Africa.

In 2007, EDS (the global IT services provider) appointed Kam Chetty as Managing Director of its South African operation. EDS was founded in 1962 and established the information technology outsourcing industry. The company was acquired by HP in the latter half of 2008, and changed its name to HP Enterprise Services. Kam was then appointed as Country Leader for HP Enterprise Services South Africa.
Kam was formerly CEO of the Cape Winelands District Municipality and also spent five years as a senior institutional specialist with the World Bank. He is also a commissioner of the Financial and Fiscal Commission and the Chairman of the Earth Equity Fund’s advisory board. In 2004 he was appointed by former President Mbeki to the reference group of the R1.5 billion Socially Responsible Fund, of which he is currently chairman.
One of Kam’s key responsibilities in recent years – and a strength – has been the implementation of new technologies to overcome resource constraints and improve operational efficiency. He is an economics and business management graduate with extensive experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors.
