Hi guys, do any of you guys know of any schools teaching the above, in Fourways/Bryanston area?

Alternatively is there any other martial arts type/schooling in the area?

I know Boksburg has a few, but thats a bit far...

Any help please.

Thanks.

Would go for BJJ or Judo most of the karate in this country is points based and is pathetic no contact bs.

OK Guys I found a Judo class in Bryanston.

It's at Saint Stithian's on Peter Place. Classes are Monday and Wednesday evenings. :)

Some of the techniques I was told of learning are, to put it bluntly, awesomely devastating...

To put it bluntly its easy to amaze a noob with pretty much any technique - be careful of mcdojos dont sign a contract and make sure they do full contact - points based is not gonna help you in the street.

The Sensei offers two types of classes...

Self-defence type and Sport based.

Traditional Chinese Kung Fu

The Chinese Martial Arts & Health Center have classes teaching Chang Chuan and Hong Chaun Kung Fu.

They are based at the St Marks church corner Witkoppen and Hyperion roads - opposite deco park.

check them out http://www.cmahc.co.za

I'm still looking for a Boxing club around the Westrand even Randburg for me and the Laaitjie. Still no luck :(

Muaythai would be a good alternative to boxing - also more of an offensive sport.

Muaythai aka kick boxing = full contact?

Muay Thai is not kick boxing but yes is definatly full contact

a nice one to look into if you read three threads under this one is MMA it combines mostly Muay Thai(standing strikes) jiu jitsu(ground and takedowns) and boxing(defense and punches)
