Kazaa Dying or Dead?

Hi all

Just wanted to know if anyone else is unable to connect to Kazaa's network.

I haven't been able to since this morning. I've heard a birdie say that they were going to completely shut down the network and now I fear it is true.

I have tried emule (which is hellishly slow!) and Limewire (which doesn't have nearly the variety Kazaa had)

Some are prepared to pay. A person I know purchased a track from Musica in SA for about R10. Copywrite protection was such that could only play from puter hard drive or burned cd which also could only be played from puter. Surely playing in a car CD shuttle should be conceivable to these morons. Bittorent and kazaalite (which still works, ruff justice lol) are the media industries wake up call. I will pay to play but can't they work out how?

I agree with Windmill. I would support a service like iTunes, where you may play the track on 3 PCs. And at songs only costing about R6, thats pretty good.

Wish they would come to SA...

I am still unable to use Kazaa - have found a great bittorrent programme - BUT it chows bandwidth like you cannot believe!

(I'm on homedsl192 and have already downloaded 700Mb since the 1st!)

I don't have a problem paying for music - but then musica's digital website doesn't have any of the music I'm interested in getting! (go figure!)
