So the next release of KDE has made it's way to Arch, and so far it takes a bit getting used to.
In preparation for the new release, log out of your current session, CTRL+Alt+F1 to a new terminal, log in as user and then:
Log in and.... wow... totally different from the previous releases.
You now have an activity manager that I have yet to fully understand and grasp, plasma-desktop got an overhaul, again, and kwin got a facelift here and there.
It will take a bit getting used to the "activity manager" and I'm not sure I see the need for this, yet, but lets give it a go.
It also seems that the older pre 4.7 icon-sets do not want to make nice with Dolphin in 4.7, it may be that it is just an issue on my side, will have to try some other icon-sets to confirm.
Default log-in, nothing to be impressed about, no, really, you have nothing. Just a blank desktop, with nothing.
Those three dots is the launcher icon for activity manager.
The only difference is that I already applied another icon-theme and plasma theme, but the rest is dead standard.

mv .kde4 .kde4old
rm .kderc
/etc/rc.d/kdm restart
